On November 8, 2023, Synpact hosted a Women’s Leadership Roundtable that brought together female leaders from 13 multinational companies across five countries. The discussion centered on how cross-company mentorship can advance gender equity in the workplace, with participants highlighting a range of benefits: expanded professional networks, greater comfort in discussing sensitive matters, fresh external perspectives that build confidence, better work-life separation when addressing personal challenges, valuable complementarity to existing internal programs, and opportunities to deepen cross-industry knowledge and skills.

At the same time, the group candidly addressed potential barriers, including the need to clearly differentiate such programs from existing internal or chamber-led initiatives, establish clear mandates and selection structures, define measurable success metrics to demonstrate ROI, and offer meaningful incentives for mentors. Building on these rich insights, participants collectively shaped a practical roadmap, and Synpact is now leveraging this collaborative wisdom to pilot a cross-company mentorship program in 2024—turning dialogue into tangible action for women’s professional growth.
